December

Sarah is not very consistent about adding things to this blog so I am going to help her out a little. We had a great thanksgiving with some of my coworkers and have been trying to get our Christmas shopping done.I got qualified in my tower but have to wait til the end of January to get rated. So in the mean time I am studying for the soldier of the month board and trying to get promoted. 6 years is much too long to be an Specialist. Sarah doing good, she volunteered to be the treasurer of the battalion's Family Readiness Group, a volunteer group of enlisted spouses and civilians who provide services on behalf of our battalion, and has been trying to find her groove with it. I laugh because she is getting a taste of the Bureaucracy that I deal with every day.:O)

update

Well everything is going good for us. Matt recently returned from Louisiana. He went down there with some of the men from church to help with hurricane relief. He said it was pretty sad to see all that they lost. I'm glad he was able/willing to help. The kids are doing great. They are making lots of friends and want to spend all day every day playing with them. It's a little sad for me cuz they don't want to spend all their time with me anymore. But I guess that's how it goes. Ollie still wants to be with me all the time so I'm trying to enjoy that while it lasts. We miss everyone and hope all is going well. Lots of love from all of us.

home in alabama!

Well we made it to Alabama. The trip was as exciting as you might expect. I am so glad my parents were able to come with us and take the older two children. Matt and I only had Olivia, yet we still up on the short end of the deal! We are still waiting on our stuff from the movers. They should be here on Monday, so we are all anxiously waiting for that. I think I am finished sleeping on air mattresses and living out of a suitcases. But I can't complain, it's better than sleeping on the floor or having to pay for a hotel. Our house is so cute. The best military housing I have ever lived in. And the Army seems to be nicer than the Marine Corps, but it's still early so we'll see how it goes. I will put pics of the house up when I get a little more time.
